Honeycomb Paper

By mimicking the six-sided structure of the honeycomb cell, Rebul honeycomb creates a structural material which is 90% space, yet is capable of withstanding a compressive force of 2000kg/m^2.

This lightweight, crush-resistant material forms the basis of our patented Rebul Freight Crates and Rebul Interlok Crates crating products. These completely customizable containers are at the leading edge of smart, environmentally friendly crating solutions.

With its high strength-to-weight properties, Rebul paper honeycomb is the alternative to polystyrenes and expanded foam materials used as protective space filler. Made from locally produced and recycled paper, our paper honeycomb has a significantly smaller carbon footprint than these materials. We manufacture the honeycomb using water based glues, ensuring that the product is also fully recyclable and pulpable.

Rebul honeycomb is used with great success as void fillers for the protection of goods in transit as well as in construction and component manufacture. It is widely used by fruit exporters as divider plates for bulk fruit packaging. In the construction industry, paper honeycomb is a popular option as a strong, lightweight material to act as structural void filler for hollow-core doors.
